A Sierra five-gallon gear lube pump simplifies changing the lower unit oil on your outboard engine or stern drive motor. The pump attaches directly to your bulk lube bucket so no other fluid transfer is necessary. Connect it and start pumping without spilling a drop. It has a tapered and unthreaded hose end but comes with a threaded lube fitting so you can connect the pump to almost any lower unit that has a flexible fill line.
Outboard gear oil swaps will go faster with a marine gear lube pump — and without spills, you’ll get more use from each bucket. It’s designed for Sierra five-gallon gear lube buckets that include their High-Performance Synthetic Blend, Premium Gear Lube and Type C formulas. However, you can use the pump with other containers and brands if you change the fittings. The Sierra 18-9788 Gear Lube Pump has a limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty.
